The Kansas Sports Tribune is a nonprofit digital news organization dedicated to covering sports teams in Kansas and the Kansas City area.
Coverage includes the Royals, Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks with plans to include Kansas State, Sporting Kansas City, KC Current, area high schools, Outdoors and NASCAR at the Kansas Speedway. As the site grows, coverage will expand to include more Kansas/Kansas City related sports. Stay tuned!

Deters is an award-winning journalist and author. He previously covered the Royals, Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks for the Topeka Capital-Journal.
Previous stops include the Lawrence Journal-World and sports editor of the Emporia Gazette. His work has been honored numerous times by the Kansas Press Association and Kansas City Press Club.
His debut book, “Miracle Moments in Kansas City Royals History,” was published in 2017. His second book “Kansas City Chiefs Legends” was named a Kansas Notable Book in 2020.
