KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs on Saturday placed right tackle Jawaan Taylor on season-ending injured reserve with an elbow injury.

Taylor hasn’t played since Thanksgiving when the Chiefs lost to the Cowboys. Taylor signed with the team as a free agent in 2023 and has started 45 games for the Chiefs after playing his first four seasons with Jacksonville.

Taylor, however, may have played his last game with the Chiefs. While he’s under contract for next season the Chiefs would save $20 million against the salary cap if he’s released.
